Refugee Resettlement groups in Hartford, West Hartford and Bloomfield will converge on Unitarian Society of Hartford (www.ushartford.com) for a half day training on Islamic and Arab cultural competency. Lighthouse for Humanity:Bloomfield Muslim Community Center with Muslim Coalition of Connecticut (www.muslimcoalitionct.org) will host the refugee training. “We expect 100 members from over 30 Churches and a few Synagogues” says Imam Aziz, one of the Imams for Lighthouse for Humanity: Bloomfield Muslim Community Center. The training is aimed at the faith groups working with IRIS to resettle refugees in Greater Hartford. We hope to bring this training to your city soon, please click here to request a training.
