Head Imam

Imam Baykar Yurdakul serves as the Head Imam at the Bloomfield Muslim Community Center, bringing decades of scholarship in the Islamic sciences and dedicated community leadership.

He completed his classical Islamic education in Turkey and holds a graduate degree in Islamic Chaplaincy from Hartford Seminary.

Cezmi Yeniay

Assistant Imam

Imam Cezmi Yeniay serves as an Assistant Imam, leading the center’s educational programming and youth instruction. He brings extensive expertise in Quran recitation and pedagogy.

In addition to his classical Islamic studies in Turkey, Imam Cezmi holds an MA in Islam and Muslim-Christian Relations from Hartford Seminary.

Muhammed Enes Kangoz

Assistant Imam

Imam Muhammed Enes Kangoz serves as an Assistant Imam directing community outreach initiatives across Connecticut and the Tri-State area. Originally from Germany, he brings a versatile background with degrees in engineering alongside his classical Islamic education from Turkey.

He leverages broad international experience to foster inter-community dialogue and community engagement throughout the region.
